Startup Company Game Review

Short Version
From Our Steam Curator Page :
Become a hell of a startup by hiring the best, producing the most and spending the least in this office sim. Startup Company will most likely take many hours of your life, and you will not regret it.

Long Version

Graphics : I know I know, the game is not much of a candidate for the best graphics, and that's just normal. Still, for a game this size and genre, the graphics are actually kind of cute. The minimalist, simplified way they took with the graphics serves the viewer really well. The game looks actually quite simple, and somehow also detailed, crowded (in a good way) At the end of graphics, the game passes ✔

Gameplay : The game seems to have found the formula. The game is such easy to get, and just as easy to master. Getting the core of the game mechanics saves you a lot of time and pushes you toward your end game. Oh, speaking of end game, the game doesn't really end for a long long time, so you basically never run out of things to do, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. (I'll explain further in replayibility section) The game offers quite a few ways for you to progress and become a millionare real simply, and that's also in a good way. The game offers enough freedom for the player to make their own ways, at their own pace. Further down, you can get tons of employees, or none at all. You can provide service, or just rent services. In the end, with a few twists, gameplay passes ✔

Sound : The game does offer soundtracks, but in the end, it's a game that repeats the same soundtrack over and over again and I must say, it irritated me. Don't get me wrong, it's a peaceful tune and I played hours and hours with sound on, but with both the game and music on, the game becomes too much after a while. My suggestion would be maybe keeping just the game sound on, and get your Spotify running. Therefore, sound fails ➖

Replayibility : The game doesn't offer a new game+. All you can do is actually finish your current session, and start a new one. The thing is, the classic, retire at x age scenario is already pretty long, long enough that you get bored of doing the same stuff all over again and again. (As explained above in Gameplay) So when it comes to starting all over again, well I'd have to pass sadly. Replayibility fails the test ➖

In the end our results will look like this :
Graphics : ✔
Gameplay : ✔
Sound : ➖
Replayibility : ➖

Verdict
Even though there's tons of possible things to improve and even though the replayibility is really low, the gameplay covers it. Startup Company is nearly the only game that shows a good effort in getting a game accurate in this genre, and we should give credits to it even if just for that. Looking for a management game to pass time? Try this, you  won't regret it.
